The Certificate IV in Marketing and Communications has a duration of up to 52 weeks, which includes 40 weeks of course delivery plus 12 weeks of term break.
Applicants must provide evidence of IELTS 6.0 overall (no less than 5.5 in each band) or an equivalent test result, OR General English / EAP at the Upper Intermediate level from an approved ELICOS provider. Any AQF qualification at Certificate IV or above delivered and assessed in English will also be deemed as meeting the English language entry requirements.
The course is offered in a blended mode of delivery, requiring students to attend 15 hours of face-to-face full-time classroom study plus complete 5 hours of structured online learning every week, totalling 20 hours per week. Online components are delivered through the Mercury Colleges ELearn platform.
Students who complete the BSB40820 Certificate IV in Marketing and Communications may progress to the BSB50620 Diploma of Marketing and Communications, then to the BSB60520 Advanced Diploma of Marketing and Communications and/or the BSB60420 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management.
Students must have their own laptop computer to complete the course both in class and in their own time, though they may also access College computers when available. Students are also required to pay a one-off compulsory resource fee to receive access to the Mercury Colleges online learning resource called ELearn.
