International students must have an IELTS score of 6+ (test results must be no more than 2 years old). English language competence can also be demonstrated through documented evidence of being educated for 5 years in an English-speaking country, or through successful completion of an English Placement Test.
Training is delivered using a blended approach, combining face-to-face training, online sessions, and work placement. Face-to-face sessions are held in the classroom, with 15 hours per week dedicated to face-to-face training and an additional 5 hours of trainer-led online sessions, totalling 20 hours per week.
Alice Springs College of Australia will provide access to computers with required resources including internet access during classroom hours. For self-study, all learners are expected to have access to a laptop or computer with Windows 7 operating system or higher, an active email address, phone contact (mobile or landline), a postal address, and access to MS Office applications such as Microsoft Word and an email platform.
Students who complete this marketing communication course may wish to continue their education into the BSB60520 Advanced Diploma of Marketing and Communication or a range of Advanced Diploma qualifications at Alice Springs College of Australia, as well as higher education qualifications in marketing and communication within other institutions.
To achieve this qualification, students must complete 12 units in total: 7 core units and 5 elective units selected from the training package. The units are designed to develop comprehensive marketing and communication skills including marketing activities, consumer behaviour analysis, communications industry knowledge, document writing, presentations, critical thinking, and business relationship management.
