The Certificate IV in Mental Health (CHC43315) has a duration of 52 weeks including holidays and 80 hours of work placement.
Yes, all students enrolled in this qualification are required to undertake work placement. AHSI will organise the work placement opportunities for students and where possible in organisations located close to their address. Students must hold a Working with Children Check, a National Criminal Police Check, a First Aid Course certificate, and be up to date with immunisations including COVID-19.
International students require either an IELTS level of 5.5 or above with no band under 5.0, or TOEFL 46 (internet-based), or Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE) 42, or Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) score of 162, or OET score of B for each test component.
AHSI's Certificate IV in Mental Health program can lead to the Diploma of Mental Health and further Bachelor programs with Griffith University.
The course is delivered face-to-face at either the Blacktown Campus (Suite 101A, 130 Main St, Blacktown NSW 2148) or the Lithgow Campus.
