The course runs for 96 weeks, comprising 81 study weeks and 15 break weeks. The estimated tuition fee for international students is AUD $31,680, which excludes non-tuition fees. An additional estimated fee of $30,000 for boarding and lodging is also noted in the course flyer.
Applicants must provide a notarized (English-translated) Year 10 Certificate in Australia or an overseas equivalent qualification recognised by an accrediting authority, and attend an online workshop to pass academic and virtue assessments given by the Department of Sinology Studies. Completing ELICOS is recommended, though applicants from an English-speaking background or with sufficient English skills are exempt. Applicants who have successfully completed the 11409NAT Certificate III in Sinology Studies or an approved pathway qualification may be exempt from entry requirements, subject to academic review.
International students must undertake full-time face-to-face study ONLY. The course is delivered on-campus at 20 hours per week, consisting of lectures, supervised tutorials and projects, and online training, video, or blended learning components.
Graduates can take their Sinology studies to a higher level, assist in teaching a variety of Sinology programs in Australian language schools where a higher education degree is not required, develop Sinology programs at Australian or overseas language schools, or become an instructor or counsellor of traditional Chinese culture and values. Note that some employment positions might also require other teaching qualifications, like TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent.
After completing the Certificate IV in Sinology Studies, students can progress to the 11126NAT Advanced Diploma of Sinology Studies (漢學高級專科文憑) or the 11127NAT Advanced Diploma of Buddhist Studies (佛學高級專科文憑). The course also prepares students to apply traditional Chinese principles of wisdom and morality in personal life and self-development, and to develop and apply traditional music and meditation skills and practices.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
