The Certificate IV in Social Media and Digital Marketing has been designed to be completed comfortably within one year. If you study in-person at ACBI's Sydney CBD campus, you'll complete this course over a series of 4 terms, each consisting of 9 weeks. Domestic students may also choose to study online in a flexible format, and it is not uncommon for domestic students to complete this qualification in 9 months or less.
You'll complete a series of 8 assessments. Each assessment consists of some short-answer knowledge questions and a series of practical tasks. For example, these practical tasks may require you to review a plan for a social media advertising campaign and create video ads for TikTok, set up social media accounts for a new social media agency, or create a new personal LinkedIn profile to showcase your social media skills. You may use case studies for your practical tasks, or depending on the task, you may be able to use your own workplace or start-up.
Yes, combining the Certificate IV in Social Media and Digital Marketing with another qualification is an excellent way to boost your skills and make yourself more attractive to employers. ACBI recommends pairing this Certificate IV with the Diploma of Digital Marketing, Diploma of Artificial Intelligence (AI), or Diploma of Leadership and Management. Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
