Common Questions
The course fee for international students is $18,300 AUD. Additional costs for uniforms, equipment, textbooks and materials (if applicable) range from $300 - $1,000 AUD per course.
You will receive the Certificate IV in Tertiary Preparation (11225NAT), which is a Year 12 equivalent course that can give you a Tertiary Entrance Score (TES), providing eligibility for admission to university.
After completing this course, you can pursue a vocational study pathway, a TAFE NSW degree pathway (such as a Bachelor of Information Technology), or TAFE NSW–university partnership pathways where partnering universities offer guaranteed entry and credit transfer to eligible students. You may also gain entry to other universities using your TAFE NSW qualifications.
You will need to complete 3 core units and 7 elective units. Core units include producing written and spoken texts, applying critical language and research skills, and preparing for academic study. Elective units are drawn from a range of specialty subjects including sciences, mathematics, humanities, and study skills.
TAFE NSW provides a range of support services including the Disability Support Service, Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) support, Careers, Counselling, and Pathways Service, Smarthinking (online tutor access), and LinkedIn Learning, which offers innovative courses and tutorials to improve personal and professional skills.
