Certificate IV in Travel and Tourism

Training is delivered in stages which correspond to AQF Levels IV-VI. The preferred pathway is for students to complete the various lower level qualifications which culminate in the higher qualification; i.e. Certificate IV before commencing the Diploma or Advanced Diploma. Students who follow this pathway therefore achieve more than one qualification.

The Bachelor of Tourism and Hospitality Management (BTHM) was developed by experienced academics and industry professionals. This program prepares you for an effective starting career in tourism and hospitality, with a strong emphasis on case-based learning that is built progressively through the three years of study. Key features of this programme are the arrangement of visiting industry practitioners, to share their knowledge and experiences, and field trips that help students gain a current understanding of the tourism and hospitality environments.

The BTHM prepares you for an entry level management position in either a tourism or hospitality organization. You will also gain sufficient knowledge and practice to start a small business in a related industry.
