Common Questions
For domestic fee-for-service students, the tuition fee is $3,000 with a $175 resource fee for Face-to-Face delivery, or $1,200 with a $175 resource fee for Flexi-Learn delivery. Note that AIWT will not accept prepaid fees exceeding $1,500 at any one time, and additional resource fees may be required for safety equipment.
International students are charged a tuition fee of $6,500, a resource fee of $495, and an application fee of $250 for Face-to-Face delivery. AIWT does not collect more than 50% of the total tuition fee unless the student or their sponsor informs AIWT in writing to choose to pay more than 50%. Prepaid fees are protected through the Tuition Protection Service (TPS).
The course duration is 6 months for both the Face-to-Face and Flexi-Learn delivery options. Face-to-Face involves 2 days per week class contact and online resources, while Flexi-Learn is a combination of self-paced learning and face-to-face trainer support available by appointment.
Career prospects may include Work Health and Safety Representative, Work Health and Safety Manager, Work Health and Safety Officer, or Supervisor/Manager with responsibility for Work Health and Safety. The course is also suitable for industry employees looking to upskill and/or achieve an award of a formal qualification.
Domestic students require completion of Year 11 or equivalent with no pre-requisites. International students must be 18 years or older, have completed Australian Year 12 or equivalent, and demonstrate an IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent, with no pre-requisites required.
