Graduates of the Diploma in Applied Technology can seamlessly transition into SITE's Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Networking and Internet of Things or the Bachelor of Networking and IoT. The diploma also provides 48 credit points that count towards these bachelor degrees.
No professional accreditation will be sought for the Diploma in Applied Technology. However, it provides strong foundational skills and a recognised AQF Level 5 qualification that supports entry into ICT and engineering roles or further higher education study.
The program is structured across two semesters. In Semester 1, students study Foundation Mathematics (MATH100), Introductory Physics (PHYS100), Technical Writing & Laboratory Practices (EMES100), and Introduction to Computing & Programming I (CECS121). Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
