Entry Requirements
Domestic Students:
- Year 12 with minimum ATAR 65 or equivalent
- Band 3 in Advanced Mathematics
- Physics at HSC level is highly recommended
- English as a First Language: must hold citizenship or long-term residency (minimum 10 years) in a recognised English-speaking country and have completed secondary or higher education in that country
- English Not as a First Language: must provide a valid English proficiency certificate as proof of English language competency
International Students:
- Australian Year 12 (or equivalent in accordance with AQF and NOOSR)
- Minimum ATAR 65 or equivalent, or minimum AQF level 5 in relevant field of study
- Physics at HSC level or equivalent (recommended)
- Advanced Mathematics – Band 3 or equivalent (Minimum 60% in Advanced Mathematics)
- If English is not the applicant's first language, one of the following (within the last two years) is required:
- IELTS (Academic / IELTS Indicator): Overall 6.0 (Min. 6.0 in Reading, Writing, Speaking; 5.5 in Listening)
- TOEFL iBT: Overall 60 (R13 | L12 | S18 | W21)

What subjects will I study in the Diploma in Applied Technology?
The program is structured across two semesters. In Semester 1, students study Foundation Mathematics (MATH100), Introductory Physics (PHYS100), Technical Writing & Laboratory Practices (EMES100), and Introduction to Computing & Programming I (CECS121). In Semester 2, students study Higher Mathematics (MATH101), Basic Electronics (ELEC130), Introduction to Embedded Systems (CECS270), and Programming II (CECS123).
