Successful completion of the Diploma in Arts will allow students entry to the Bachelor of Applied Social Science, the Bachelor of Arts, or the Bachelor of Education. The Diploma can become the first year of any of these three bachelor degrees.
The Diploma in Arts is composed of 8 units of 6 credit points each, completed over 1-year full-time equivalent (48 credit points in total). Students must complete a core unit (EN503 Literature and Worldview), one Christian Foundations unit (from CF501, CF502, or CF503), three units in a chosen specialisation (such as Applied Linguistics, Counselling Studies, English, History, Mathematics, or Ministry Experience), and three elective units.
Yes, the Diploma in Arts is available to both domestic and overseas students. The CRICOS Code for international students is 102320B.
All applicants must meet Eastern's General Entry Requirements. Applicants with recent secondary education must have satisfactorily completed the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or equivalent. Applicants with complete or incomplete VET or higher education studies may also be admitted. Mature Age entry is available for those who have reached the age of 21, and all applicants must meet English language requirements.
You may be entitled to credit for prior learning, whether formal or informal. Formal learning can include previous study in higher education, vocational education, or adult and community education. Informal learning can include on the job learning or various kinds of work and life experience. However, students may not import more than 24 credit points from other institutions.
