The Diploma in Education (Primary) (Exit Only) is an award available to students who have partially completed a higher-level education program at Western Sydney University but are exiting before completing the full qualification. It is not a standard entry-level program and is awarded as an exit credential rather than a standalone enrolled course.
For the Bachelor of Education (Primary) and Master of Teaching degrees, Western Sydney University requires an IELTS Academic overall score of 7.5, with a minimum of 7.0 in reading and writing and a minimum of 8.0 in speaking and listening. Equivalent scores are: TOEFL iBT total 105 (Writing 24, Speaking 26, Listening 28, Reading 24) or PTE Academic 78 overall (Speaking 79, Listening 79, Reading 65, Writing 65).
Yes, Western Sydney University offers one of Australia's most generous scholarship programs. All applicants for coursework programs are automatically considered — no separate application is required. Scholarships available include multi-year awards valued at $3,000 or $6,000 per year, and Vice-Chancellor's Academic Excellence Scholarships covering 50% of tuition fees. Scholarships are awarded on academic merit and successful recipients are notified in their Offer of Admission letter.
As a student visa holder, you are required to have approximately AUD $29,710 per person per year for living expenses, as advised by the Australian Government. Additional costs include AUD $10,394 per year for a partner, AUD $4,449 per year per child, and AUD $13,502 per year for annual school costs if applicable. These living expenses are separate from tuition fees.
Most international students must apply directly to Western Sydney University through the online application portal. However, international students who are about to complete an Australian Year 12 (HSC) qualification, an International Baccalaureate studied within Australia, or a New Zealand NCEA Level 3 should apply through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) International. Applications require personal details, passport copy, program code, intake date, campus, academic qualifications, and a signature from the student or parent/guardian if under 18.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
