Common Questions
The tuition fee for the Diploma of Accounting (FNS50222) is AU$12,000 per year. Additional fees include a Course Application Fee of AU$200.00, an Accommodation Placement Fee of AU$200.00 (if required), and an Airport Pick Up Fee of AU$200.00 (if required). International students must also have Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of their study.
Prior to commencing this qualification, a student must have completed the following units of competency (or equivalent): FNSACC321 Process financial transactions and extract interim reports, FNSACC322 Administer subsidiary accounts and ledgers, FNSACC418 Work effectively in the accounting and bookkeeping industry, and FNSACC421 Prepare financial reports. These competencies may have been achieved through completion of the FNSSS00014 Accounting Principles Skill Set or FNS40222 Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping and equivalent.
International students enrolled in this qualification are required to attend a minimum of 20 hours per week of scheduled contact hours, comprising 16 hours of classroom-based face-to-face delivery per week and 4 hours of compulsory e-learning segment administered via the MyPCT portal per week. Face-to-face learning and teaching is compulsory for international students for a full-time study load.
Yes, students may apply for exemption for any unit in which they can successfully demonstrate competency in line with Pacific College of Technology's current RPL Policies. Please refer to the RPL policy and procedure as documented in the Student Handbook.
Pacific College of Technology has a four-term academic year with student intakes occurring in all four terms. For 2026, the intake dates are: First Term (Autumn) starting 2nd February, Second Term (Winter) starting 20th April, Third Term (Spring) starting 13th July, and Fourth Term (Summer) starting 28th September.
