Prior to commencing this qualification, an individual must have completed FNSACC321, FNSACC322, FNSACC418, and FNSACC421 (or equivalent). These competencies may have been achieved through the FNSSS00014 Accounting Principles Skill Set or FNS40222 Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping. Students must also be a minimum of 18 years of age, have completed Australian Year 11 or overseas equivalent, and international students must demonstrate an IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent English proficiency.
The Diploma of Accounting has a total duration of 78 weeks, which includes 60 contact weeks plus 18 weeks of holiday breaks.
Graduates of the Diploma of Accounting can pursue roles such as Assistant Accountant, Payroll Manager, Bookkeeper, and Accounts Supervisor.
Students can progress to study FNS60222 Advanced Diploma of Accounting after successfully completing the FNS50222 Diploma of Accounting qualification.
The qualification requires the completion of 11 units of competency, which includes 7 core units and 4 elective units.
