Graduates can pursue roles in disability support work, communication guiding, school integration aid, and customer service at Deaf organisations. Further study pathways include interpreting and translation, social work, allied health, education, aged care, counselling, and NDIS Support Coordination/Support Work. Many graduates transition to the Diploma of Interpreting Auslan PSP50922.
A range of assessment methods will be employed throughout this course, including observation, written assessment, and project/folio.
If you are not eligible for Free TAFE or a government subsidy, the non-subsidised tuition fee for the Diploma of Auslan PSP51018 is $36,200, plus a maximum annual amenities fee of $260, bringing the total to $36,460. For those on a government subsidised fee (but not Free TAFE), tuition is $4,080, with a total of $4,340 including amenities.
