Diploma of Automotive Management

AUR50126 Diploma of Automotive Management is a nationally accredited qualification for automotive-industry professionals who want to move into supervisory and management roles, developing the skills to manage automotive operations, budgets, teams and business performance. Delivered by Vigil International College at its Parramatta campus in a blended face-to-face and online format, the course comprises 12 units of competency — 6 core units covering environmental and sustainability best practice, complex customer issues, business improvement, budgets and financial plans, people performance and workplace health and safety, plus 6 elective units drawn from recruitment and onboarding, customer service, professional development, team effectiveness, operational planning and team learning and development. The program runs full-time over 52 weeks (20 hours per week), with entry open to students aged 18 and over who hold a valid student visa and complete an entry interview. It is aimed at automotive-industry candidates typically aged 18-35, including those who have completed a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology and want to progress into management. Graduates can pursue roles such as workshop supervisor, automotive technician, service technician, advanced diagnostic technician or automotive system designer, with further pathways into a bachelor's degree in automotive management or business administration.
