Applicants must demonstrate a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or a PTE score of 52, or hold a Certificate IV in EAL or equivalent. In the absence of formal English qualifications, Glen Institute may administer an English Placement Test.
The total course duration is 52 weeks, which includes 44 weeks of face-to-face training calculated at 20 hours per week, plus 8 weeks of allocated term break.
Graduates are prepared to enter senior management roles in the Automotive Service and Repair Industry, including positions such as Automotive service/repair manager, Automotive workshop manager, Dealer operations manager, and Automotive parts manager. For further study, graduates may choose to undertake the BSB60420 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management or the BSB60120 Advanced Diploma of Business.
Classes are delivered at two locations: Unit 5, 200 Turner Street, Port Melbourne, VIC 3207 and Level 5, 310 King Street, Melbourne VIC 3000. Delivery is campus and workshop based in a face-to-face classroom environment.
This qualification may be accessed by direct entry with no formal prerequisites. However, applicants must be 18 years or older, hold an Australian Equivalent Year 12 qualification or higher, meet the English language requirement, complete an LLND assessment, and be physically able to perform assessment tasks in an automotive workplace simulated environment.
