Those undertaking the Diploma of Automotive Technology must have completed an automotive Certificate IV qualification in one of the following disciplines, or be able to demonstrate equivalent competency: AUR40216 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis or AUR40816 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Overhauling. Students must also meet the minimum entry requirements as described on the institution's website.

Yes. ACE's Recognition of Prior Learning and Credit Transfer Policy and Procedure outlines the process for granting recognition and credit transfer. Any credit granted for previous studies undertaken as part of an RPL โ Formal learning process will lead to a reduction in overall course duration. For international students this is reported via PRISMS and an appropriate eCoE is issued. Students may also exit the program at any point and be awarded a Statement of Attainment for any of the units successfully completed.
