Common Questions
Those undertaking the Diploma of Automotive Technology must have completed an automotive Certificate IV qualification in one of the following disciplines, or be able to demonstrate equivalent competency: AUR40216 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis, or AUR40816 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Overhauling.
The course spans 63 weeks, including scheduled term breaks. Students are required to attend 20 hours of classes/practical sessions per week, which include face-to-face instruction, simulated practical learning, and supervised assessment activities.
The total course fees are $15,000, which includes an Admission Fee (non-refundable) of $250, Material Fees of $1,250, and Tuition Fees of $13,500.
Students obtaining a competency for all units in this course will be awarded the full qualification AUR50216 β Diploma qualification, including certificate and Record of results. Students not obtaining a competent result for all units in this course or leaving the course in middle will receive a Statement of Attainment, indicating the actual number of units they achieve competency in.
