Common Questions
Entry into this qualification is limited to students that have previously completed AUR40216 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis or equivalent. In addition, international students must be at least 18 years of age, meet Year 12 or Certificate III education requirements, and have an IELTS academic score of 6.0 or equivalent.
The qualification is delivered over 52 weeks, including 36 weeks of training and assessment and 16 weeks of holidays.

Trinity Institute (Australia) provides training rooms, fully functioning automotive workshops with light vehicles, tools and manufacturer specifications required for all units, and personal protective and safety equipment such as eye protection, hearing protection and gloves. Students are also required to bring their own laptop installed with Microsoft Office or similar, text books, safety work boots, overalls, and other personal protective equipment and tools as listed on the resources list prior to enrolment.
The course is delivered across Trinity Institute (Australia) campuses at 35 Smith Street, Parramatta NSW 2150 and Level 5, 770 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000. Practical automotive workshop training is conducted at 62 Tattersall Road, Kings Park NSW.
