Common Questions
To enrol, students must be 18 years of age or over, have completed an automotive Certificate IV qualification (either AUR40216 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis or AUR40816 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Overhauling), have completed Year 12 (HSC or equivalent), and achieve a minimum IELTS score of 6 or an internationally recognised exam result in line with Department of Home Affairs regulations.
The total course cost is $6,200, which includes a tuition fee of $5,000, a non-refundable application fee of $500, resources (textbooks) of $200, and a student kit (uniform kit) of $500. Overseas Student Health Cover is approximately $550 per annum for individuals, or approximately $5,000 per annum for families.
The program is delivered over 25 weeks at 20 hours per week, comprising 23 teaching weeks and 2 weeks of holidays. Delivery is face-to-face in a classroom setting, with practical training and assessment completed in an Automotive Workshop.
Assessment methods may include observations, case studies, projects, assignments, presentations, role play, quizzes, supervised assessment, and practical observation.
Yes, students may be able to shorten the length of their chosen course by measuring skills acquired through professional work experience or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. All claims for RPL and Credit Transfer should be made upon enrolment and must be received by the Administration within two (2) weeks of commencement.
