The course requires 27 hours of aircraft flying time, 26 hours in a Flight Simulation Training Device, and 96 hours of theory, all included in the course fee.
The tuition fee for the Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating) is $52,840. Local students may be eligible for VET FEE HELP funding, and overseas students enrolled in the course may be eligible for a student visa.
The course fee includes flight training (dual and solo), aircraft hire, simulator training, fuel, pre-flight briefings, post-flight de-briefings, and theory courses.
Students must already hold a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) to enrol in this course, as it is designed specifically for CPL holders who want to improve their employability with a multi engine command instrument rating (ME CIR).
Yes, this course is CRICOS approved (CRICOS course code 089858C), and international students may be eligible for a student visa. Overseas students must also meet the IELTS requirement of an overall score of 6.5 or above, with no sub-score less than 6.0.
