This course is delivered by Mission Aviation Fellowship on behalf of Aviation Australia at the Mission Aviation Fellowship Flight Training Centre, 37 Vicary Rd, Mareeba QLD 4880 (Mareeba Airport, North Queensland).
Training is conducted using MAF's aircraft fleet and training equipment, which includes Cessna 172's and Cessna 182 G1000, Vulcanair P68R, Gipps Aero GA8, and a Redbird MCX Motion Flight Simulator.
The course costs $36,800.00 (payment plans are available, and there may be additional fees not contained in the tuition fees). Available course start dates are 27th January 2026 and 13th July 2026. Please note prices are subject to change and Aviation Australia reserves the right to revise course prices at any time.
This is an intensive 25-week full-time course. A minimum of 20 hours per week of face-to-face training is required, with training hours between 7:50am – 4:30pm Monday – Friday (times may vary based on available flying and briefing hours). Additionally, self-study of a minimum of 5 hours per week is required with access to a computer and reliable internet connection. Students are expected to complete additional revision on a daily basis, and it is recommended that students do not undertake any employment whilst studying this program.
Yes. If you hold a CASA Recreational Pilot Licence, CASA Private Pilot Licence and/or a foreign pilot licence, you may be able to have your previous studies, qualifications and experience assessed for certification against this course through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
