The course is priced between $46,501.00 and $47,188.00 depending on the intake selected, with options available for February 2026 and July 2026 intakes.
The course is full-time and runs for 17 weeks in duration, requiring attendance 4–5 days per week.
Your flight training will involve additional hours of flying lessons in one of RVAC's aircraft equipped for IFR, as well as practical tuition in one of their CASA Approved Simulators. You will learn to prepare advanced flight plans, navigate the aircraft from point to point under Instrument Flying Rules, perform instrument arrivals and departures, and develop advanced aircraft handling techniques.
To enrol you must hold a valid CASA Private Pilot Licence or Commercial Pilot Licence (with a Proficiency Check, Flight Review or recent training within the past 2 years), an Australian Security Identification Card (ASIC), a Class 1 Medical from a Designated Authorised Medical Examiner (DAME), Aviation English Language Proficiency at a minimum ICAO level 4, Year 12 or equivalent, a pass in 7 CPL Exams, and 50 hours Pilot In Command Cross Country time.
Once you have accumulated the required flight hours, passed the specified Theory Examinations, and demonstrated the required competency, you will undertake a Flight Test with a CASA Approved Testing Officer (ATO) to gain your Instrument Flight Rating. RVAC Flight Training has two such officers on staff. IREX theory examinations are set and marked by CASA appointed conducting officers.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
