Common Questions
The Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) consists of twenty seven (27) units of competency, comprising 24 core units and 3 elective units, in accordance with the packaging rules.
International students must meet an IELTS score of 6.0 (with no bands less than 5.5) or an equivalent Pearson Test of English (PTE) score.
Graduates who successfully complete the Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) may undertake the CPC60212 Advanced Diploma of Building and Construction (Management) or a relevant bachelor degree at a university or higher education provider.
Students that complete some but not all of the units of competency as stated in the Course Structure may be issued with a Statement of Attainment. It will identify only those units of competence that have been completed as part of the qualification and recognised nationally under the AQF.
Builder licensing varies across States and Territories and additional requirements to attainment of this qualification may be required. Completion of the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work (ASCC 2007) is required before entering a construction work site, and occupational licenses are required nationally.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
