The CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) is delivered in a blended mode across two campuses: Sydney Startup Hub, Level 7, 11–31 York Street, Sydney NSW 2000, and Melbourne CBD, Level 7, 118 Queen Street, Melbourne VIC 3000.
The course runs for 104 weeks in total, comprising 88 study weeks and 16 weeks of holidays, structured across 4 terms.
Applicants must have demonstrated an IELTS score of at least 5.5 or equivalent (test results must be no more than 2 years old), or have successfully completed at least General English at Upper Intermediate or English for Academic Purposes Upper Intermediate level.
Graduates of the CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) can pursue roles such as Builder, General Foreperson, or Building Inspector.
It is highly recommended that students have successfully completed 'CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry' prior to commencing this course, as this unit of competency is a prerequisite to most of the units contained within the qualification. Additionally, students must be at least 18 years of age at the date of course commencement and have completed Australian Year 10 or equivalent.
