Common Questions
The total course fees are AU$30,500, which includes tuition fees of AU$25,000 and non-tuition fees of AU$5,500.
International students require a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 for direct entry, or an IELTS score of 5.5 with an ELICOS course of up to 10 weeks, or an IELTS score of 5.0 with an ELICOS course of up to 20 weeks taken before the main VET course. An Oxford Placement Test score of 61 or higher is also accepted. Results older than two years are not acceptable.
To achieve this qualification, students must complete 27 units of competency in total โ 24 core units and 3 elective units.
All assessments of units of competency will be conducted according to the assessment guidelines and competency standards of the official Training Package for this qualification. Assessment methods will include knowledge questions/written test, practical demonstration, projects, and case study in the workshop.
Students are required to have a PPE kit for practical training, which includes safety shoes (steel toe), protective glasses, a safety vest (neon/glowing), protective gloves, earmuffs, a working uniform mask, and a hard hat. This kit can be purchased from the institute or from any suppliers outside prior to undertaking practical training.
