The course duration is 56 weeks, comprising 52 study weeks plus 4 weeks of holidays.
To enrol, students must be 18 years and above, hold a minimum IELTS band 6.0 or equivalent, and have schooling equivalent to Australian Year XII. Students must also complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test prior to course commencement.
This is a competency-based qualification. Assessment continues throughout the delivery and assessment timetable until the student either achieves competency or a further training need is identified and addressed. Assessment methods include Practical Observations, Written Questions, Case Study, and Projects.
The course is delivered face-to-face at the Melbourne campus located at Level 9, 601 Bourke Street, Melbourne VIC 3000.
Graduates of CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) may pursue occupational roles including Builder, General Foreperson, and Building Inspector.
