Common Questions
Upon successful completion of this program you will receive: Recognition of up to two VCE VET units at Units 1 and 2 level, and a VCE VET Units 3 and 4 sequence; an ATAR contribution if you receive a VCE VET Units 3 and 4 sequence; and a Statement of Attainment for the partial completion of Certificate II in Building and Construction (Carpentry) Pre-apprenticeship.
To be eligible for this course, you must be attending a secondary school and have successfully completed Year 9 with the equivalent literacy and numeracy levels. You should also review the personal learning requirements essential to this course and discuss them with your school VET Coordinator before applying.
Further study options include Certificate II in Building & Construction (Carpentry) Pre-apprenticeship (to complete the remaining units to gain the full qualification), Certificate III in Carpentry (offered as an Apprenticeship only), Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building), Diploma of Building and Construction, and Certificate III in an associated building trade.
Assessment is based on team projects and hands-on project work.
