Common Questions
The course has a total duration of 78 weeks, comprising 66 teaching weeks and 12 weeks of holidays.
Students must have English proficiency as guided by Macallan College's English Proficiency Policy and Procedures. This requires an IELTS Test overall score of 6.0 (or equivalent) with no individual section score less than 5.5, or a Pre-entry Oxford English online test result of no less than B2.2 with a minimum score of 71. Note that all applicants from AL3 countries must sit an IELTS test.
After completing the CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building), occupational titles may include Builder, General Foreperson, Building Inspector, and Construction Manager.
After completing this course, you could enrol into a Bachelor of Construction Management.
The course is delivered face to face through a combination of blended learning environments including classroom/face to face, self-directed study, practical, and simulated learning activities. Students must complete 34 units in total — 27 core units and 7 elective units. Both knowledge and skill assessments are required to be completed with a competent outcome for each unit to achieve your certificate.
