About This Course

This course builds further on skills and knowledge acquired in the Cert IV of Building and Construction, providing students with project management skills in order to coordinate the planning and execution of medium high-rise buildings. This course is designed to reflects the role of building professionals who apply knowledge of work site coordination and management, as well as liaising with stakeholders like engineers, consultants and the relevant project professionals. This course is designed to meet the needs of senior managers within building and construction firms. Further development in our on-site and practical work area and experience on real construction sites of our industry partners; you will gain top quality practical experience. Our graduates of this course are well developed in advanced building techniques and operations management, with highly valuable on-site experience from our residential and commercial construction projects in the city.

Eligibility

Entry Requirements

General Requirements

Must be 18 years old or over.
Successful completion of the Certificate IV in Building and Construction (CPC40110 / 095747D) or Certificate III courses.
Academic Entry Requirement: Must complete high school Year 12 or equivalent and above.
English Entry Requirement: Academic IELTS Score overall 5.5 (no lower than 5 in each band); or equivalent, or Liberty Construction College internal ACSF/ LLN Test result score overall level 3.
Students who do not possess a valid official English test result can take Liberty Construction College online LLN Test.

How many work placement hours are required for this course?

Students are required to undertake a minimum of 360 hours of student work placement during the course, gaining hands-on experience on real construction sites through Liberty Construction College's industry partners.

What PPE and tools do I need for this course?

Students are required to have the following PPE and tools: Hi-Vis Shirt (Button-Up), Hard Hat (One Size), Gloves (Pair), Earplugs (One Size), Protective Glasses (One Size), Steel Hammer, Square Chisel, 10M Tape Measure, Retractable Blade Trimming Knife, Pencil, and Hard Safety Work Boots.

What further study pathways are available after completing this Diploma?

Graduates of this qualification may undertake further study in Bachelor Degrees. Additionally, Liberty College offers special package courses that allow students to complete both Certificate and Diploma qualifications together, providing a more comprehensive pathway to their career.
