Common Questions
The course fee for international students ranges from $26,325 to $30,274 AUD. Additional costs for uniforms, equipment, textbooks and materials range from $300 to $1,000 AUD per course.
You will learn to use 3D CAD software including Revit and ArchiCAD to produce digital 3D models of building designs.
To achieve this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in 12 units of competency consisting of 9 core units and 3 elective units.
After completing the Diploma of Building Design, you can pursue vocational study pathways, enrol in a TAFE NSW degree, take advantage of TAFE NSW–university partnership pathways with guaranteed entry and credit transfer to eligible students, or gain entry to another university using your TAFE NSW qualifications.
TAFE NSW provides a range of support services including the TAFE NSW Disability Support Service, Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) support, Careers, Counselling, and Pathways Service, Smarthinking (online access to a tutor), and LinkedIn Learning, which offers innovative courses and tutorials to improve personal and professional skills.
