Personal Development Portfolio
Gives you the basic academic skills required to undertake tertiary study. You will workshop and develop these skills through a series of focused activities as well as developing a portfolio.
Marketing
An introduction to the basic concepts and practices of marketing, including the theory and practice of marketing, management of profitable customer relationships, and the impact the broader environment has on it.
Business Maths
Introduction to basic business maths covered in Semester 1.
Accounting Principles
Completed in Semester 2 as part of the Bond core subjects.
Principles of Economics
Elective for students pathwaying to Bachelor of Business, Commerce or Data Analytics.
Concepts of Strategy
Elective for students pathwaying to International Hotel and Tourism Management or Sports Management.

Successful completion of the Diploma of Business guarantees you a place in most undergraduate degrees at Bond University, including the Bachelor of Business, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Business Data Analytics, Bachelor of International Hotel and Tourism Management or Bachelor of Sport Management, with a possible 80 credit points credited towards your new program of study.
You can complete the diploma in just eight months studying full-time over two semesters. Alternatively, the flexible program allows you to customise your subject load – starting with one or two subjects part-time and building to full-time as your confidence grows.
Bond University College offers an intensive Academic Skills program that covers essay writing, critical reading, study techniques, and time management. There is more face-to-face teaching time in small group classes, and you'll have access to one-on-one tutoring, workshops, and targeted study help through the Academic Skills Centre. Students also have access to all Bond University campus facilities, resources, and student support services.
In Semester 1 you will study an introduction to business maths, marketing, and the Personal Development Portfolio. In Semester 2 you will complete accounting principles and a final elective: Principles of Economics (if pathwaying to Bachelor of Business, Commerce or Data Analytics) or Concepts of Strategy (if pathwaying to International Hotel and Tourism Management or Sports Management).
