Applicants must have successfully completed Year 12 in Australia, an internationally recognised equivalent to Australian Year 12, a Certificate IV (AQF 4) or higher from a recognised institution, a General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE A) with three or more D Grades, or a completed International Baccalaureate Diploma. Applicants who do not meet formal entry requirements may be considered on a case-by-case basis if they can demonstrate readiness and suitability to commence the course.
Students are required to successfully complete eight (8) core units totalling 48 credit points. The units are: BUS1001 Professional Development and Business Communication, BUS1002 Fundamentals of Management, BUS1003 Mathematics and Statistics, BUS1004 Foundations of Accounting, BUS1005 Introduction to Economics, BUS1006 Introduction to Business Law, BUS1007 Finance, and BUS2003 Sustainability and Ethics. Note that not all units are offered in every trimester.
Yes, the course can provide a pathway to a Bachelor of Business and related programs in most higher education institutions.
International students from a non-English speaking background must satisfy one of the following: IELTS Academic overall band score of 5.5 or higher with a minimum of 5.0 in writing and speaking; IBT (Internet-based TOEFL) overall score of 65 with writing minimum 21 and speaking 18; Cambridge CPE or CAE total score of 169 or over with no band below 162 in writing and speaking; or PTE Academic with a minimum score of 50 and minimum writing and speaking score of 42.
Yes, FEE-HELP is a Commonwealth Government loan available to eligible domestic students enrolled at APIC to help pay all or part of their tuition fees. FEE-HELP is available for all Units of Study for eligible students. For enquiries about applying for FEE-HELP, students can contact programs@apicollege.edu.au.
