The course is delivered over a period of 52 weeks, equating to 36 contact study weeks plus 16 weeks for holidays.
The course is delivered on a blended basis, consisting of 20 hours per week made up of 14 hours face to face in the classroom plus 6 hours of online study.
To enter the Diploma of Business, students must be 18 years of age or over, have satisfactorily completed Australian Year 12 or equivalent, and have an English proficiency level equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or complete and pass the HIA English Assessment.
After achieving the BSB50120 Diploma of Business, graduates may undertake the next qualification up, the BSB60120 Advanced Diploma of Business, or further study in the Business and Management streams at the Advanced Diploma, Graduate Certificate/Diploma levels, or Degree studies. Further training options such as the Diploma of Leadership and Management or a bachelor's in business are also available.
Assessments will vary from unit to unit and may take the form of an open book theory assessment/activities, questioning, assignment, project work, practical activities in a simulated work environment, role plays, case studies, presentation, written reports, or a combination of the aforementioned. Students are provided with a Student Assessment Booklet at the commencement of each unit of competency.
