About This Course

This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a variety of Business Services job roles. These individuals may have frontline management accountabilities. Individuals in these roles carry out moderately complex tasks in a specialist field of expertise that requires business operations skills. They may possess substantial experience in a range of settings, but seek to further develop their skills across a wide range of business functions. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication. Students, currently employed, are encouraged to bring their current employer's policies and procedures (with their employer's permission) to use in their course work. This material must be reviewed prior to use by the Institute's Trainer/Assessor. For students who are unable to bring adequate policies and procedures, the Institute will provide a practice set of documents.

Entry Requirements

General Requirements

Minimum Age Requirement:

18 years or older at commencement of course

Minimum English Language Requirement (one of the below):

Certificate III in EAL / IELTS band score of 5.5 or equivalent
Satisfactorily completed ELICOS at to at least Upper Intermediate level
Completed equivalent of Australian Year 11 qualification from any of the English speaking countries such as Australia, UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, or the Republic of Ireland
Completion of any Australian AQF Certificate III or higher qualification
Satisfactorily completion of at least one semester of study in Australia in a tertiary course (satisfactorily for this purpose would mean that the applicant has completed 50% or more of the semester load)
Completed a Placement Test devised and administered by Rhodes College or a nominated accredited agency

Minimum Academic Qualification Requirement (one of the below):

Completion of senior high school to the Australian Year 12 or equivalent
Mature age students can also enter based on an interview with Rhodes College staff
