Applicants must provide proof of English language proficiency at IELTS 6.0 or equivalent, and must also successfully complete the Alpha Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test prior to enrolment.
The course has a total duration of 104 weeks, comprising 80 weeks of study and 24 weeks of scheduled breaks, delivered full-time at 20 hours per week across 8 terms.
Students who successfully complete the CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry may progress to the CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building), the CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building), or higher education qualifications in construction and related fields.
Training is delivered via a blended mode combining face-to-face and online learning. Training methods may include lectures and interactive discussions, role plays and case studies, group projects and presentations, live demonstrations, guided practical activities, and simulated workplace tasks and workshop activities. Assessment methods may include knowledge questions, practical demonstrations and observations, projects and case studies, and a portfolio of evidence where applicable.
