Common Questions
The Diploma of Business (BSB50120) is delivered as full-time study over the course of 52 weeks, including 7 weeks of breaks/holidays. Classes are scheduled for 45 weeks, with the remaining 7 weeks allocated for breaks, extra tutorials, or reassessment periods. Duration may vary based on mode of delivery and/or RPL and Credit Transfer.
International students are required to have an IELTS band score of overall 6 (Academic or General) or equivalent in line with the Department of Education and the Department of Home Affairs (DOHA) regulations. Learners are also required to be competent in written and spoken English and will undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test prior to commencing the training.
Assessment methods for this qualification include written questions (e.g. multiple choice, true and false, question and answer), practical observation (e.g. third party report, simulated observation, presentation), and assignments (e.g. project, case study, written report). Assessment processes cover a broad range of skills and knowledge needed to demonstrate competency, conducted in accordance with the assessment guidelines and competency standards of the official Training Package.
After successfully completing the BSB50120 Diploma of Business, students can pursue further qualifications including the BSB60120 Advanced Diploma of Business, BSB60420 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management, or BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning). At Orange International College specifically, students can continue into the BSB50820 Diploma of Project Management or BSB60420 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management.
Yes. Upon enrolment, Orange College's code of practice states that all candidates for assessment will be offered RPL. RPL is an assessment process that assesses an individual's non-formal and informal learning to determine the extent to which that individual has achieved the required learning outcomes. Credit Transfer is also available — if a certificate or statement of results is produced and verified, a credit transfer process will be initiated by Orange College in relation to the units as per the training plan.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
