The course has a total duration of 52 weeks, comprising 48 scheduled tuition weeks plus 4 weeks of holidays.
Students must meet an overall IELTS band of 5.5 or equivalent, with no band below 5.0. Alternatively, students may provide evidence of being educated for 5 years in an English-speaking country. All students also complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment upon enrolment.
The course requires completion of 12 units of competency, including 5 core units (BSBCRT511 Develop critical thinking in others, BSBFIN501 Manage budgets and financial plans, BSBOPS501 Manage business resources, BSBSUS511 Develop workplace policies and procedures for sustainability, BSBXCM501 Lead communication in the workplace) and 7 elective units covering areas such as business risk, project scope, workplace relationships, team effectiveness, people performance, and performance development processes.
Upon successful completion, you can apply for roles in business management including Executive Officer (salary range $65K–$80K), Program Consultant, Program Coordinator, Office Manager (salary range $80K–$105K), and other roles involving leadership and management. You may also continue to higher education such as the BSB60120 Advanced Diploma of Business or BSB60420 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management.
All students complete a language literacy and numeracy assessment upon enrolment to determine their learning support needs and are provided with a range of learning support options and resources. Students identified as being at risk of not meeting course progress requirements will be provided with additional support as recorded in an intervention strategy. Australian Management College also provides additional support for students experiencing disability and access issues, language barriers, language, literacy and numeracy issues, employment issues, or any other issues that may affect their ability to achieve their training goals.
