Successful completion of the SIBT Diploma of Business allows you to enter second year at Western Sydney University, Sydney City Campus, with eight units of credit. Available bachelor's degrees include the Bachelor of Business (Applied Finance and Fintech), Bachelor of Business (International Business), Bachelor of Business (Management), Bachelor of Business (Marketing and MarTech), and the Bachelor of Accounting.
The Diploma of Business is comprised of eight units in total — five core (mandatory) units and three elective units. The core units are Professional Communication (BCOM101), Business Finance Fundamentals (BFIN101), Economics for Business (BECO102), Introduction to Business Law (BLAW103), and Managing and Leading (BMAN103). The three elective units you choose depend on your expected further study or work plans.
If you want to progress into Accounting, it is recommended that you choose Introductory Accounting (BACC201) as your first elective unit, Intermediate Accounting (BACC202) as your third elective unit, and Introduction to Statistics (ISTA202) as your second elective unit.
For 2026, the Australian (domestic) course fee is A$26,000 and the International course fee is A$35,500. There is also a one-off non-tuition Enrolment Fee of A$225.
The Diploma of Business is 12 months in duration and can be completed over two or three sessions. Intakes are available in March, July, and October each year. The next intake starts 29 June 2026.
