Course Overview
The Diploma of Business provides guaranteed* entry into the second year of a Bachelor of Business; Bachelor of Business - Bachelor of Laws; or Bachelor of Business Analytics; and the first year of a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Wollongong (UOW). You will gain the skills to succeed in your UOW bachelor and explore various disciplines, including marketing, accounting, management and finance. You will graduate with a Higher Education Diploma to help get you into the workforce while completing your bachelor's degree. This course consists of two sessions, each lasting 14 weeks, and is offered by our pathway provider, UOW College Australia. UOW College offers three intakes each year, giving you the flexibility to start your studies at different times throughout the year. *The guarantee is subject to meeting UOW entry requirements as described in the course outline. Upon successful completion of this course, you will gain entry into the following UOW courses: Bachelor of Business (entry into second year, 8 subjects, 48 credit points); Bachelor of Business–Bachelor of Laws (credit includes 8 subjects, 48 credit points throughout the course); Bachelor of Business Analytics (entry into second year, 8 subjects, 48 credit points); and Bachelor of Laws (entry to first year, nil credit offered).
This course consists of two sessions, each lasting 14 weeks, for a total of approximately 28 weeks of study.
UOW College offers three intakes each year: Autumn 2026, Spring 2026, and Summer 2026, available at UOW College Wollongong and Liverpool (Summer 2026 is available at Wollongong only), giving you the flexibility to start your studies at different times throughout the year.
Entry requirements include a minimum ATAR of 45; or 4 HSC Subjects ≥70%; or 3 HSC Subjects ≥75%. Applicants who completed Year 12 or left school more than 2 years ago will be required to undertake a basic literacy online test. VET qualifications such as a Certificate IV and relevant work and life experience may also be considered.
