Diploma of Business (Hospitality and Tourism Management)

Domestic students — Admission criteria:

• Australian secondary school certificate, or equivalent
• Successful completion of a Vocational qualification (AQF Level 4), or above
• Successful completion of at least 0.25 EFTSL at AQF level 6, 0.5 EFTSL at AQF level 5 or above, or equivalent
• Work-life experience demonstrating the ability to undertake study at the required level, which may include approval of prior study or successful completion of a readiness assessment

Check the domestic course fee schedule for the cost of your course. Eligible Australian students may choose to defer some, or all, of their tuition fees through FEE-HELP. Hospitality and Alumni scholarships are available.

International students — Admission criteria:

• Successful completion of at least 0.25 EFTSL at AQF level 6, 0.5 EFTSL at AQF level 5 or above, or equivalent
• Australian secondary school certificate, or equivalent Senior Secondary qualification, or Baccalaureate Diploma
• Academic IELTS 6.0 (no band less than 5.0) or equivalent
• Alternative entry requirements may be available, which may include assessment and approval of prior study or successful completion of a readiness assessment

Check the international course fee schedule for the cost of your course. Onshore international students requiring a student visa should choose campus-based / blended options. Course fees can be paid across three study periods, with each instalment due before the beginning of the academic stage census date. A range of financial scholarships is available to support international students.

If you have already completed a qualification or gained skills through life or work experience, you may be able to credit this against your degree through Recognition of Prior Learning or Course Credit transfer, with further study pathway options also available.

On graduation, you will be prepared for an exciting role in many areas of the hospitality and tourism industries and beyond. You can also further your studies by taking your credits into a Bachelor of Business, where you can specialise in Hospitality and Tourism Management, or shift your focus to Event Management, Marketing, Sport Management or Entrepreneurship.
