A Diploma of International Hotel Management gives you the foundation for a career in the global accommodation industry. You'll combine classroom learning with applied training and gain hands-on experience with leading hospitality organisations. Across eight core subjects, you'll explore hospitality operations, food and beverage, accommodation and guest experience. Delivered at our Leura (Blue Mountains) and Surry Hills campuses, with your first trimester (12 weeks) completed at Leura, and the remainder of your studies at Surry Hills, the diploma equips you with the skills to step into entry-level roles or continue to further study in Hotel Management. Scholarships available at BMIHMS at Torrens University Australia include the Three Pillars Scholarship, Industry Scholarship, Alumni Scholarship, English Language Scholarship, Alternate Pathway Onshore, and Hospitality Motivational Scholarship. The Three Pillars Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School Hospitality Scholarship offers 10%–50% off for the entire course duration.
To apply, you must: complete the scholarship application form, provide a 1-page cover letter of at least 500 words covering your reasons for studying at BMIHMS, hoped outcomes, career plans, merit and need for a scholarship, personal achievements, and relevant experience; submit a resume and photo (if applicable); complete the BMIHMS application form; provide certified copies of any certificates and transcripts; attach letters of reference from teachers, friends or employers; and submit your application via the StudyLink portal at www.student-torrens.studylink.com.
Eligibility criteria vary depending on the scholarship. Recipients must be new BMIHMS at Torrens University Australia students commencing studies and must meet BMIHMS entry requirements. For domestic scholarships, you need to be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, New Zealand citizen, or hold a humanitarian visa. Successful scholarship applicants will be requested to assist with additional duties during their time as a student. These responsibilities include becoming members of the Student Representative Council (SRC), undertaking additional student ambassadorial duties, being available for promotional opportunities, and participating in marketing and promotional activities as required by BMIHMS at Torrens University Australia.
