The Diploma of Christian Ministry is designed for ministry candidates, lay leaders, church teachers, and institutional volunteers who wish to develop the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to minister effectively across various church and ministry contexts.
The course takes 1.5 years to complete on a full-time basis, with face-to-face delivery at the Sydney campus. Intake dates are available in January, April, July, and October.
The course costs $760 per subject. VET Student Loans are available to eligible students to assist with course fees.
Yes. This course meets the credentialing requirements for ministers of Australian Christian Churches, which has over 1,100 churches in Australia and nearby nations. If your church belongs to another denomination, you are advised to check with your church or denominational headquarters whether this course is recognised as meeting their ministry credentialing requirements.
To achieve the 11089NAT Diploma of Christian Ministry, learners must complete twelve units in total: 7 core units, plus at least 1 unit from Group A (Theology and Worldview) and at least 1 stream from Group B (Elective Streams). Group B streams include Chaplaincy, Children's, Church Planting, Community, and Creative, with students selecting at least 2 subjects from their chosen stream.
