To enrol in the Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design, you must have completed the Diploma of Civil Construction Design (RII50520). International students must also have IELTS 5.5 or equivalent, be 18 years or older, and have completed Year 12 studies or equivalent.
The international full tuition fee is $24,000, noting that the Diploma of Civil Construction Design is a prerequisite qualification. The Diploma tuition fee is $15,000, with the remaining 9 months tuition fee being $9,000. There is also an enrolment fee of $250 and a material fee (including software) of $400.
Upon successful completion, you may pursue roles such as Civil engineering draftsperson, Civil engineering design draftsperson, or Civil engineering technician. Additionally, pathway students may be eligible for direct entry into the second year of Acknowledge Education's Bachelor of Construction Project Management degree, with credit for 8 out of 24 units of study.
Yes, Acknowledge Education offers Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and credit transfer for relevant previous qualifications. Australian Qualifications Framework qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised. Credit transfer may reduce your study duration and overall tuition fees, and you may be able to get up to 50% course credit for prior learning.
You will develop skills in using computer-aided design (CAD) software including AutoCAD and Revit to produce detailed drawings, plans and designs for construction work; preparing civil designs; managing the civil works design process; and construction management to meet the needs of the Australian market. The course also covers advanced capabilities in managing complex civil works design processes, applying quality systems, risk management and safe design principles, producing detailed civil and structural design solutions, and leading technical work, teamwork and project coordination.
