Common Questions
Applicants must have a minimum 5.5 IELTS score or above, or equivalent, or pass the KCBT placement test. Those students who do not meet the minimum English requirement will need to package this program with an English Course before proceeding to this qualification.
The course runs for a total of 78 weeks across 8 terms, which includes 63 study weeks and 15 weeks of term break. Classes are rostered for 2½ days per week plus a self-study component, and full-time studies require learners to attend a minimum of 20 scheduled course contact hours per week.
The Diploma of Civil Construction Design is delivered at two campuses: Perth and Adelaide.
Yes. An application can be made for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) when the learner believes they have already attained the necessary skills and competencies through work or other study. Learners who hold Units of Competency already completed may also be eligible for a Credit Transfer by submitting a verified Certificate or Statement of Attainment issued by an RTO. The RPL policy, procedure and application form is available from reception upon request or on the college website.
Employment opportunities resulting from the completion of this course may include roles such as Civil Engineering Associate, Civil Engineering Draftsperson, and Civil Construction Designer. Graduates may also progress to the RII60520 Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design.
