Diploma of Civil Construction Design

The program comprises 20 units of competency covering the detailed design of foundations, civil concrete structures, civil steel structures, and surface and sub-surface drainage, together with computer-aided design and 3-D modelling, building information modelling, technical and engineering mathematics, force systems and stresses in simple structures, data processing and analysis, team effectiveness, innovation and continuous improvement, and leadership in the supervision of diverse work teams. It is delivered over 78 weeks, including 60 weeks of training and assessment spread over six terms of ten weeks each and 18 weeks of holidays, in the classroom and through structured supervised study sessions at the college's Parramatta campus.
