For domestic students, the full tuition fee is $8,995, with a government subsidised training fee available at $990 (eligibility applies). An amenities fee of $350 also applies. For international students, tuition is $23,545 plus a student services fee of $250 and an amenities fee of $350. Scholarships are also available — enquire directly with EQUALS for details.
Yes, this course includes 100 hours of work placement in an approved industry setting. The placement is included as part of the course duration and no extra fees apply.
This diploma provides a pathway into further study at Advanced Diploma level, and/or pathways to Higher Education qualifications in Social Work, Disability or Strategic Leadership.
Current and valid Department of Communities & Social Inclusion (DCSI) Screening Checks for working with Children, with Vulnerable People and in the Aged Care Sector, as well as Physical Fitness, are required for this course. If you do not hold a current DCSI check, you are required to apply through DCSI at the time of application for enrolment at EQUALS, and a DCSI check must be acquired prior to industry placement.
Yes. If you have related prior education and experiences, you may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). If you have successfully completed units of competency from this qualification previously, you may be eligible for National Recognition (Credit Transfer). Direct entry into the Diploma is also available to eligible applicants.
