Common Questions
For domestic students, the tuition fee is $4,804. For international students on a student visa, the tuition fee is $13,000. There are also additional fees: an Enrolment Fee of $250 and a Material Fee of $500.
Students are required to complete 100 hours of industry placement as part of the training and assessment activity. Applicants must be able to make themselves available to undertake this placement, and students should be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to doing so.
The Diploma of Community Services is available in multiple study modes including Blended learning (Part On-Campus & Online), eLearning + Placement, Entirely On-Campus, and Workplace Delivery, with 19 contact hours per week.
Yes, the Diploma of Community Services articulates with several universities. Pathways include the Southern Cross University Bachelor of Community Welfare, Bachelor of Social Science, and Bachelor of Social Work; Griffith University Bachelor of Social Work (up to 30 credits), Bachelor of Child, Youth and Family Practice (up to 60 credits), and Bachelor of Human Service (up to 60 credits); and University of Southern Queensland Bachelor of Human Services, Bachelor of Psychology (Honours), and Bachelor of Science Major Psychology.
International students must demonstrate Upper-Intermediate English, equivalent to a 5.5 academic or general IELTS score, and must also successfully complete the college's LLN (Language, Literacy & Numeracy) Test. Students who are unable to meet the academic or English language criteria may in some cases be eligible to undertake the LLN test as an alternative pathway.
