Common Questions
Students are required to complete 400 hours of work placement, divided into 2 blocks of 200 hours per placement. Students must complete up to 8 theory-based units before commencing Work Placement 1, and another term(s) of study before commencing Work Placement 2.
Prior to placement, students must obtain a Police Check (via the AFP national police checks link), a Working with Children Check, and provide updated vaccination/immunisation records including influenza and COVID-19 vaccines. Students must also have a reasonable level of fitness to complete manual and physically demanding tasks. The cost of the police check is at the student's own expense.
Assessment will occur through a variety of methods, including projects incorporating role-plays, case studies, observations, and short answer questions. Assessment conditions will ensure a simulated workplace environment for classroom-based assessment.
Students can apply for credit transfer where there is an exact match of the units of competency within the course achieved through an accredited VET qualification in an approved registered training organisation (RTO). If credit transfer is approved for international students, the Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) will be adjusted to reflect any reduction in the period of study, while the study load will remain at the scheduled 20 hours per week as per student visa requirements.
Potential employment options are in a range of community services management roles. Students who complete this course may wish to continue their education into the CHC62015 Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management or a higher education qualification in community services.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
