Common Questions
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 100 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency. However, Australian Harbour International College has chosen to require 120 hours, in alignment with those same Assessment Requirements.
International students must have an IELTS score of 6.0 overall, no less than 5.5. English language competence can also be demonstrated through evidence of successfully completing a Certificate IV level course in an Australian RTO, successful completion of AHIC's English Placement Test, or an advanced level of English completed in Australia. Other English language tests such as PTE and TOEFL can also be accepted, provided the results are equivalent to IELTS 6.0.
The tuition fee for the CHC52025 Diploma of Community Services is AU$21,250.00. There is no material fee, and an enrolment fee of AU$250.00 applies. Payment can be made via direct deposit/telegraphic transfer, credit card (Bankcard, MasterCard or Visa — surcharges apply). Cash payment is not accepted.
Assessments may include short written knowledge tests, discussions and oral communication demonstrations, case study exercises, written reports, web based research and reports, final projects and final written exams. To perform at your best, you will probably need to work on the assessments outside of class time.
Students who have completed relevant studies or have some of the competencies in the course may apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Application for RPL can be made with the initial application or can be made within two weeks of the course commencement using the RPL Application Form and by providing supporting documents. Please note that RPL cannot result in an international student having less than a full time load of study (20 hours per week).

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
